BRAS (Broadband Remote Access Server) and BNG (Broadband Network Gateway) services provide operation of the broadband data transmission network and are used to route traffic from the subscriber to the provider and back. BRAS/BNG is a key component of the service model, the broadband remote access server.
This is a network device that performs authentication, subscriber authorization, termination, and provides access to various broadband services through a single connection.
