Virtualization and cloud technologies

Order a service

General Description

Virtualization is the aggregation and abstraction of hardware and software resources in a way that hides their physical nature and network boundaries from users. Virtualization allows for a significant increase in the utilization of server resources by consolidating computing resources, each of which remains isolated and is implemented within an independent virtual machine.

Cloud infrastructures are a layer that adds fundamentally new functionality and is usually based on virtualization technologies. This may include a self-service portal, a single application catalog, billing, and accounting of resources used.
There are several scenarios for deploying cloud infrastructure:

- Private Cloud. It is built on the basis of internal infrastructure and defines high requirements for equipment and deployment sites (data centers).

- Public Cloud. This solution is suitable for companies that do not plan to build their own IT infrastructure. It is usually implemented by a service provider for its clients.

- Hybrid Cloud. This is a combination of the two options listed above, which is implemented through the integration of private and public clouds and the mutual use of applications and services between them.

Objectives

  • Simplifying the migration of applications and services between different physical servers and data storage systems (operations can be performed in “hot” mode, i.e. without disabling individual elements)
  • Efficient use of computing resources provided by modern virtualization platforms
  • Implementation of high availability mechanisms for resources by combining a pool of servers into a single fail-safe cluster
  • Provide protection against failures by replicating data between sites and setting up recovery scenarios

Services

1. Designing a Virtual Machine Infrastructure
2. Performing migration to virtual infrastructure
3. Determining the sizing (size range) of required computing resources
4. Developing High Availability and Recovery Scenarios
5. Designing hyperconverged solutions
6. Integration of virtualization platforms with external systems
7. Preparing a list of required documentation
8. Carrying out commissioning and putting into operation

Conclusion

  • Ready-made design/architecture of virtual infrastructure
  • Implementation plan for integration with existing infrastructure
  • Ensuring compliance with performance metrics
  • Optimization of operating and maintenance costs
